My Story in Waves

FINDING MY VOICE

"Audible Postcards"
A 5 Day Journey about Reclaiming My Voice

Day 1 of 5 - I thought I Might Be Tone Deaf

I Thought I Might Be Tone Deaf

I thought I might be tone deaf.
I thought maybe
I couldn’t hear properly.

Maybe something in me was off.

Today I followed a melody.

Low to middle to high.

And it sounded…

Sweet.   Deep.  Mine.

Sometimes we are not broken.

We have just never been given space to listen.

Day 2 of 5 - My Voice Moved

My Voice Moved

My voice moved today.

Low — steady and grounded.

Middle — open and connected.

High — light and free.

It didn’t crack.

It didn’t hide.

It didn’t apologize.

It moved.

Maybe finding your voice isn’t about volume.

Maybe it’s about allowing movement.

Day 3 of 5 - I Can Hear!

I Can Hear!

Today I learned something simple

and life-changing:

I can hear.

I can follow.

I can sing.

There is nothing wrong with my inner compass.

If you’ve ever wondered whether

you’re “off” - pause.

Perhaps you just haven’t been allowed

to practice being audible.

Day 4 of 5 - Taller & Lighter!

Taller & Lighter!

After 30 minutes of singing,

my body felt taller.

And lighter.

As if something that had been folded

had quietly unfolded.

Reclaiming your voice

doesn’t make you louder.

It makes you upright

Day 5 of 5 - Permission!

Permission!

I didn’t need to become

a better singer.

I needed permission

to sound.

If you are waiting to feel ready -

this is it.

You don’t have to perform.

You just have to begin.
